"Just a quick note of thanks, as our stay at the Oktober 6 Apartment was
wonderful. It was even more convenient to what we had planned than our original
booking, and we've already recommended it to friends with relatives in Budapest.
Clean, comfortable and close to everything. The two little all-night groceries
on the street were open on the holiday when the big one on the next block was
closed, which was handy as several of my son's fellow exchange students arrived
unexpectedly for dinner. All in all, a great flat - my only regret was that
we had to leave it behind. Thanks again!"

"We really enjoyed our holiday in Budapest and the apartment was perfect for us and in a very good location for everything. The trouble at the tv station did not affect us too much and we felt we had a lot of sympathy for the people of Budapest.
I have passed on the website link to quite a few of my friends so hopefully
you will be getting bookings from them in the near future, we certainly will
stay in the October 6 apartment if we come to Budapest in the future."

"We had a superb time in Budapest, partly because its such an interesting
city, partly because the weather was cold but dry, and partly because the apartment
was so good. " - Richard Austin
"In January of 2006 Rich and I visited Budapest for the first time. We
stayed in a lovely HUGE appartment with underfloor heating and all mod cons
including washing machine, dishwasher and microwave as well as gas oven and
hob. It was bigger than our entire house! We were collected and delivered from
and to the airport by the extremly helpful Tibor." Cathy Austin - England

"Just wanted to thank you both for our fantastic time in lovely Budapest!!
Both apartments were gorgeous and Tibor's efforts made the few days we were
there a joy. Everything went so smoothly! We will definitely be back at some
point to see some more bits (that aren't flooded!) and will highly recommend
your apartments to our friends coming out there.....I can't believe there's
a better apartment in Budapest!" Lee Maeve & Neil Barbieri, London,

"We stayed in the apartment in Oktober 6 for a couple of days in December 2004. I usually do not care of writing any comments, but this appartment is really worth it. It made our trip to Budapest a great time. This is exactly the appartment you want to live in permanently: ceilings of five meters, large windows and beatiful parquet.
Living in this apartment you become part of the city. There are not other tourists in this buildings, only locals. Because it is an fin de siecle buidling it supports the reason why you may come to Budapest: to see all these nice buildings and the way of life in an Eastern European capitol.
The first time we have seen the building from the outside we have been quite astonished. Buildings like these would have been broken down in Germany for security reasons. From the third level on can see every brick, there is nothing left of the stucco of the 19th century. Inside you have a courtyard with a nice statue and a 150 year old lift which we would not have dared to use on our own. But the run down atmosphere met exactly our expectations from half a century of communism.
To our relief the apartment itself was not run down, but brand new renovated. Heating, kitchen, bathroom, toilet: everything is perfect. But what is really makes a great places to stay is the tasteful furnishing. Although most of the furnishing is from Ikea it is very stylish. The combination of the old building and the new furniture is stunning. Although it is quite minimalistic you will find beatiful details and very important many and good lights.
The location is excellent. You are right in the middle of the numerous streets with these splendid houses, the epicentre of the Jugendstil. You are only 150 meters away from the great Basilica on the one side and 150 meters to my favourite square in Budapest. There is also the Amercian embassy located. You may know that they always have the top locations (for instance in Berlin and Hamburg). It is 5 to 10 minutes only to the metro station Deak Ter, the intersection of all three metro lines. Leaving the building you almost run into a fruit shop, an upper-class Indian restaurant, a confectionery, a kiosk a cheap Hungarian style restaurant. The street is not loud but busy enough to offer some streetlife.
Cleaning, water, gas, linen are included and the handling with the key worked out without problem.
To sum it up I am convinced that the combination of the run down Jugendstil
buidling and the high-class and tasteful appartment in a location like this
is hard to beat. You won't find a better apartment in Budapest."
